Dear Stakeholders, who are dedicated to special education,
The National Special Education Conference, which was initially held in 1991 with the title of “Special Education Days” in memory of Associate Professor Mitat Enç for the first time, will be organized in Ankara through 23 to 26 October 2024 by Ankara University, the first university of the Turkish Republic in the second century of our Republic. We are pleased to invite you to the 34th National Special Education Conference, which will be organized by Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Special Education.
This year's main theme of our conference is "The Gap Between Research and Practice." Within the scope of the conference, the aim is to discuss special education practices in Turkey on the basis of theory, research and practice, and to determine suggestions for filling the gap between research and practice as well as for the future targets.
Our conference will include oral presentations, poster presentations, and examples of good practices in special education, which will have been peer-reviewed and accepted as a result of blind peer review. In addition, we will have keynote speakers, panels and round table meetings at our conference, the details of which will be announced later.
Academicians who provide special education and related services to individuals with special needs and their families, as well as students, families, researchers, experts, teachers and all our stakeholders who are devoted to special education are to our conference.
